About
My clinical background is in Paediatric Intensive Care. I worked at the Evelina Children's Hospital at Guys and St Thomas NHS Trust until moving into higher education in 2021.
Prior to my nursing career I worked as a solicitor specialising in commercial litigation, predominantly in the insurance and banking sectors.
I now teach on the BSc Child Nursing programme across various modules and lecture on the Nursing Associate programme, PICU course and professional practice modules.
I currently hold HEA fellowship and am working towards senior fellowship.

Domains
I lead on second and third year modules on the BSc Child Nursing programme. Within these modules, as well as preparing asynchronous learning materials on CANVAS, I utilise flipped classrooms, padlet discussion boards and student editable CANVAS pages to allow for asynchronous engagement between students and the module teams in alignment with the module assignment criteria.
I am responsible for the MEP and continuous improvement of the Leadership in Children's Nursing module.
I support masters students, supervising them for their assignments planning research proposals.

I am on the ARC research leadership academy programme, which is supporting the development of my research career.
I am a member of the research team awarded a 5000 pound grant for a social media use in nursing learning research project in 2023.
I am a member of the research team conducting research into transition from student to nurse, being conducted across 2022 and 2023.
I am link lecturer for Great Ormond Street Hospital and University College London Hospital, supporting students while on placement.
I supported students on the pilot Buddy Scheme at GOSH, where third year students were supported mentoring and teaching first year students in their placement areas. This scheme was put forward for a Student Nursing Times Award.

I am a member of the Academic Integrity Committee within the School of Nursing, supporting staff through the process and preparing materials and guidelines to navigate this process.
I am a member of the School of Nursing Self Assessment Team for the Athena Swan Bronze Application.
I am an Anchor in the pilot Personal Tutor Peer Support Group Scheme that is part of the University's EDI student support strategy.
