About
I am Head of School of Critical Studies & Creative Industries at Kingston School of Art, formerly Head of Department of Critical and Historical Studies.
My teaching career has been focused on the design and delivery of historical and theoretical content to art and design students at a range of institutions.
I am a Fashion theorist and my research interests focus on the role of fashion and embodiment in performances of all kinds.
I am the author of the monograph Fashion and Music (Berg, 2011) and am currently working on my second book Makeup: Cosmetics from Everyday to Catwalk for publication by Bloomsbury in 2018.
