The Kingston Bursary
If you’ve received an offer to study an undergraduate degree at ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ and have a household income of £25,000 or less, you could be eligible for The Kingston Bursary.
What is The Kingston Bursary?
The Kingston Bursary is worth £2,000 (in the first year of study) to eligible 'home' fee-status students who start an undergraduate course at ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ in September 2025. There are at least 500 Kingston Bursaries available.
Students in receipt of the Kingston Bursary, who have fully enrolled and meet ongoing attendance requirements, will receive this as a payment in three instalments. The bursary will be paid into the UK bank account you have registered with Student Finance.
Who is eligible for the award?
There are a limited number of bursaries available. As a result, meeting the criteria does not guarantee a bursary. However, to be eligible for the bursary, you must meet all the criteria below:
- You must be a home fee-status student with a tuition fee of £9,250
- You must have firmly accepted an offer from ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ for an undergraduate course
- You must be starting Year 1 of your undergraduate course in September 2025 (Foundation Year 0 or 'top-up' students are not eligible)
- You must not be studying on a course eligible for the NHS Learning Support Fund (Nursing or Midwifery courses). If studying one of these courses, please ensure you apply for the
- You must have a household income of £25,000 or less, assessed by Student Finance England or Student Finance Wales
How to apply
Eligible students will be identified automatically and you do not need to apply for the bursary. However, to be considered for the Kingston Bursary, you should:
- Firmly accept your offer from ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ for September 2025 entry
- Apply for your by the UCAS reply deadline of 5 June 2025
- Have a household income assessment fully completed by Student Finance England or Student Finance Wales. Without this completed assessment (with all evidence verified), you cannot be considered for the bursary
- Have your course with ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ listed as your first choice in your Student Finance application and have consented to share information with the University
- Fully enrol as a student at ÂÌñ»»ÆÞ in September 2025
We will contact eligible students who have been awarded the Kingston Bursary in October 2025.
